Michael Jackson Will Be Missed!

Michael Jackson, the gifted child star who rose to become the self proclaimed “King of Pop”, the biggest music celebrity in the world and the highest selling musician ever only to fall from the top in a freakish series of scandals, died Thursday. Michael Jackson was only 50 years of age.

Michael Jackson died at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. The circumstances of his death were not immediately clear and many media outlets reported him to be in a coma. Michael Jackson was not breathing when the Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to a 911 call at his Los Angeles mansion at 12:30 pm on Thursday June 25^th 2009. The paramedics performed CPR and took him to the hospital UCLA Medical Centre.

Michael’s brother Jermaine Jackson in his press release stated that “It is believed Michael suffered a cardiac arrest in his home. However, the cause of his death is unknown until results of the autopsy are known”. Cardiac arrest is an abnormal heart rhythm that stops the heart from pumping blood to the body. It can occur after a heart attack or be caused by other heart problems.

Michael Jackson’s album “Thriller” was released in 1982, which included blockbuster hits such as “Beat It,” “Billie Jean” and “Thriller” is still the best-selling album of all time, with an estimated 50 million copies sold worldwide.

Michael Jackson was first known to the world in the late 1960s, when as a boy he was the talented lead singer of the Jackson 5, the group he performed in with his four older brothers. The Jackson 5 had many number 1 hits such as “ABC”, “I’ll Be There” and “I Want You Back”.

Michael Jackson was one of the most exciting performers of his generation. He was for his crotch grabbing dance moves, backward gliding “moonwalk” and his high pitched voice that included squeals and titters. He did normally wear a tight military style jacket, white socks, a single glove and aviator sunglasses.

Producer of the album “Thriller” Quincy Jones, when asked about Michael’s death he stated “For Michael to be taken away from us so suddenly at such a young age, I just don’t have the words… He was the consummate entertainer and his contributions and legacy will be felt upon the world forever. I’ve lost my little brother today, and part of my soul has gone with him.”

Planned Comeback

Michael Jackson was preparing for his greatest comeback, wanting to reclaim his King of Pop throne. He had scheduled 50 shows to be performed in London, with the first set for July 13^th 2009. Michael was in rehearsals in Los Angeles for the concerts, wanting to bring us the classic Michael Jackson magic, superb dance moves and great dance beats we all got to know and love.

Fans reactions to the HUGE loss
Fans gathered around his home and his old Neverland ranch to mourn and shed tears as news spreads that the King of Pop passed away at the age of 50.

Thousands of fans and media personnel gathered outside the UCLA Medical Center as word of his death spread.
